Due to the fact that there were not enough qualified skilled trades workers as far back as 2002. The National Skilled Trades Network (NSTN) was founded. With the vision of the founders to address this problem by developing an accredited construction trades training program. NSTN started the process of becoming a National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Acredited Training Sponsor (ATS), so that the youth and young adults in the Columbus, Ohio area could acquire the skills needed to become certified skilled trades workers and become employable in the lucrative skilled trades industry. NSTN will also help create apprenticeship job opportunities.
NSTN will create these opportunities by partnering with established community organizations for training tuition assistance. And develop relationships with small and large construction companies and small businesses. As well as becoming a Columbus, Ohio General Contractor to create job opportunities.
Our mission once the NSTN training program is developed and perfected in the Columbus, Ohio area is to recreate the Columbus, Ohio model of accredited skilled trades training in other inner city communities around the country.
